Photographing laundry detergent sheets for Soape challenged us to rethink traditional cleaning product photography. With a full-sized washing machine that wasn’t portable, we focused on visual storytelling that conveyed the brand’s core message: clean, lightweight, and effortless laundry.

Rather than showcase the washing machine itself, we emphasized the end result: fresh linens, tidy laundry baskets, and soft textures — using lifestyle scenes that evoke the feeling of clean. This approach aligned with Soape’s minimalist brand identity and positioned the product as a convenient, travel-friendly alternative to traditional liquid detergents.

As a product photography studio, one key challenge was scent representation through styling. Soape was launching new fragrance variants and needed the visuals to suggest each scent clearly:

• Lavender Detergent Sheet – styled with dried lavender and natural linen

• Spring Bloom Scent – soft floral accents with gentle fabric folds

• Ocean Waves Scent – shells and coastal textures to evoke a marine breeze

We balanced these fragrance cues with a wabi-sabi-inspired aesthetic, staying true to the brand’s clean and sustainable appeal. Through natural lighting elevated with a mix of studio lighting, curated props, and thoughtful composition, this project showcases CKM Studio’s approach to eco-friendly product photography, flat lay styling, and lifestyle brand visuals.
